Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #17-10-270 RESOLUTION ORDERING FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #18-03, 2018 OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to overlay numerous street segments in 2018 for the purpose of maintaining these streets as cost-effectively as possible; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to assess benefiting properties up to 25- percent of the cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, the City Charter, and the City’s adopted Special Assessments Policy. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the proposed improvements, designated as Improvement Project No. 18-03, be referred to the City Engineer for study, and that the City Engineer is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvements are necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether they should best be made as proposed or in conjunction with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvements as recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for benefitted properties. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Srommen Councilmember LeTourneau Councilmember Shryock Councilmember Johns Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember Riley and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: Existing Vacancy
