CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, November 23, 2004, at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:05 p.m. and called <br />upon Councilmember Zimmerman to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Lowell Vasseur, 8106 Alpine Drive NW, requested the Council to address the ordinance <br />requiring snowmobilers to ride with the floW 0ftraffic. He presented the Council with a letter on <br />the issue and pictures. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec inquired if Mr. Vasseur's basic concern is in regards to damage from <br />snowmobiling. <br /> <br />Mr. Vasseur responded in the affirmative. He stated he is looking for a variance on the ordinance <br />that mandates that the snowmobilers run with the traffic after dark, specifically for about a three <br />block area on the south side of Alpine Drive, which is the side he lives on. He just had to have <br />nine mature pine trees removed by the City because they were ready to fall over.
