<br />Councilmember Johns introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #17-10-274 <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTES AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #17-13, POTASSIUM STREET CUL-DE-SAC <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the City of Ramsey has long maintained Potassium Street, north of old <br />Nowthen Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> a property owner on Potassium Street is disputing whether the street, <br />including the cul-de-sac at the end which is located on their property, is a public street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> maintenance, service, and emergency response vehicles must be able to <br />safely turn around at the north end of Potassium Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> quotes were solicited from four local contractors to construct a temporary <br />gravel surfaced cul-de-sac; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> one quote was received and was found to comply with the request for <br />proposals; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the quote received is tabulated below; and <br /> <br />Contractor Total Quote <br />Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. $34,877.00 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the quote of Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc.in the amount of $34,877 for the <br />total quote for said services is the lowest responsible quote and their quote shall be and hereby is <br />accepted. <br /> <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br /> <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. for said services for and on behalf of the <br />City of Ramsey, contingent on execution of easement agreements as required to construct the <br />proposed improvements. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />LeTourneau, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Srommen <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> <br />
