Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #17-11-283 RESOLUTION APPOINTING BOARD AND COMMISSION MEMBERS WHEREAS, the City has one vacant seat on the Economic Development Authority and one vacant seat on the Park and Recreation Commission; and WHEREAS , the vacancies were advertised in the Ramsey Resident, the Anoka County Union, on the City’s website, on the City’s community sign, on QCTV, on the City’s Facebook, and via the city's email notification system; and WHEREAS, The Mayor and Council Members conducted interviews on October 24, 2017; and WHEREAS , per Minnesota Statue 469.095, pertaining to the Mayor’s authority to appoint members to the Economic Develop Authority (EDA), Mayor Strommen indicated that she will select Mr. Dominic Kanaventi to serve on the EDA; and the City Council concurred with the Mayor’s selection; and WHEREAS , the City Council agreed by consensus to appoint Mr. Andrew Andrusko to the Park and Recreation Commission NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) Motion to adopt resolution #17-11-283 to make the following board and commission appointments, effective December 1, 2017:  Appoint Mr. Dominic Kanaventi to a partial term on the Economic Development Authority with a term ending March 31, 2020; and  Appoint Mr. Andrew Andrusko to a partial term on the Park and Recreation Commission with a term ending March 31, 2019. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Strommen Councilmember LeTourneau Councilmember Johns Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember Shryock
