<br />Councilmember Johns introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #17-11-285 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND ORDERING PLANS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #18-00 STANHOPE TERRACE <br />STREET RECONSTRUCTIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #17-07-168, adopted on <br />July 11, 2017, the City Engineer was ordered to prepare a Feasibility Report to study the <br />feasibility of reconstructing approximately 0.52 miles of streets within the Stanhope Terrace <br />th <br />development including Ute Street from Alpine Drive to its termini cul-de-sac, 154 Avenue <br />rd <br />between Ute Street and Roanoke Street, and 153 Court from Roanoke Street to its termini cul- <br />de-sac, including the reconstruction of streets and curb and gutter, the construction of storm <br />sewer, and other appurtenant work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #17-10-271, adopted <br />October 24, 2017, the Feasibility Report was received and accepted, and a Public Hearing was <br />ordered for November 14, 2017 at 7 p.m., where the City Council will consider the proposed <br />improvements for said streets in accordance with the updated Feasibility Report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for 25-percent of the cost <br />of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, Chapter 8 of the City Charter, <br />and the City’s Special Assessments Policy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City Clerk gave mailed and published notice of such hearing and <br />improvements as required by law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City Council conducted a Public Hearing for the proposed <br />improvements on November 14, 2017. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective and feasible as detailed in the Feasibility <br /> <br />Report approved by Council on November 14, 2017. <br /> <br />2) Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, Chapter 8 of the City Charter, and the City’s <br />Special Assessments Policy, benefiting properties shall be assessed for 25-pecent of the <br />cost of the improvements, which have an estimated total cost of $430,934.81. <br /> <br />3) The City Engineer is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement, and the <br />engineer is ordered to prepare plans and specifications for the making of such <br />improvements. <br /> <br /> <br />
