The guidelines propose establishing final deadlines for: 1) resuming comprehensive plan reviews thatlhave been suspended by the Council; and 2) submittal of comprehensive p:lans that have not yet been received. The memorandum also includes steps the COuncil proposes to take if the guidelines are not met. The Council's Physical Development Committee will discuss the guidelines at its meetings on September 3 and 10. The Council is expected to adopt the guidelines on September 10 at 2:30 P.m.,'at the Council offices. You are encouraged to review the guidelines and make your comments to the Physical Development Committee. The Committee is especially interested in knowing: 1) if the staff report accurately represents the status of your community's planning process; and 2) what effects'the guidelines would have if implemented. Written comments should be sent to Tom Caswell of the Council's staff. You may appear before the committee at either of:its two meetings. If you plan to speak before the committee, you are encouraged to register in advance with the Council's Public Information Office at 291-6421, and to confirm meeting times and places.
