July 16, 1980 <br /> <br />TO: METROPOLITAN AREA LOCAL OFFICIALS <br /> <br />A number of local officials have asked the Metropolitan <br />Council to extend the time period allowed for written <br />comments after the July 31 public hearing on the draft <br />guidelines for review of proposed amendments to local <br />comprehensive plans. <br /> <br />The Council will keep the public hearing record open <br />un%il the close of the business day on Tuesday, Sept. 2. <br />We hope that this extension will give you a reasonable <br />amount of time to prepare written comments. <br /> <br />In addition, if you are unable to testify at the public <br />hearing but wish to make verbal comments on the proposed <br />guidelines, you may arrange to be placed on the Council's <br />Physical Development Committee agenda during August.
