M E T P 0 L I T A N C 0 U N.~I L 300 Metro Square Building, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55101 RESOLUTION NO. 80-206 RESOLUTION GRANTING EXTENSION OF TIME FOR THE CITY OF RAMSEY FOR TEE SUBMITTAL OF ITS COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes.473.869 provides that local. governmental units may request extensions of time for fulfilling the requirements of Minnesota Statutes, Sections 473.175 and 473.851 through 473.866, the Metropolitan Land Planning Act. WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 473.869 empowers the Metropolitan Council in its discretion to grant such requests and to attach reasonable requirements or conditions thereto; and WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Council has adopted a "Policy for Extending Metropolitan Land Planning Act Submittal Deadlines"; and WHEREAS, The City of Ramsey has requested an extension of time for fulfilling the requirements of the Land Planning Act in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 473.869 and the Metropolitan Council's "Policy for Extending Metropolitan Land Planning Act Submittal Deadlines." NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: THAT the Metropolitan Council finds that there are exceptional circumstances as evidenced by the extension request, and an undue hardship may result if the request is not granted; and THAT-the Metropolitan Council hereby grants the City of Ramsey an extension to April 1, 1981, for fulfilling the requirements of the Land Planning Act.; and THAT the Council requires Ramsey to enter into a revised planning assistance grant contract within 30 days of Council action on this request; and THAT the Council advises the city that it can expedite the external review process by requesting adjacent communities and other affected bodies to review the city's plan in less than the six-month period defined in the Metropolitan Land Planning Act.
