Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #88- RESOLUTION RECEIVING AND AWARDING BID FOR 1850 GALLON FIRE TANKER WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement tor bids for a 1850 gallon fire tanker for the City of Ramscy Fire Depadment, the following bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law on December 1, t988 (see Attachment 1 for deviations from specifications): Bidder Amount of Bid Fire Safety Products, inc. $91,589.00 General Safety Products, Inc. $109,325.00 AND WHEREAS, on December 22, 1988 the Ramsey Fire Board recommended thai the City accept the bid from for a 1850 gallon fire tanker. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1 ) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with in the name of the City of Ramsey for purchase of a 1850 gallon fire ~tanker for the City of Ramsey Fire Department according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Ramsey City Council and on file in the office of the City Administrator. 2 ) That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return fo,'lhwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duty seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the lollowing voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of December, 1988.
