Th~EQB staff has reviewed the proposed plats for <br />consistency with the Mississippi River Corridor Critical Area Interim <br />Development Regulations.. The corridor, as proposed <br /> ~ t cf street <br />on the t%:o Diets, would include 17 <br /> . -lg...--o,-wa5 and an <br />a ..... cna! three feet of dedicated land <br /> <br />After examining the proposed plats, meeting with the staff of the <br />Anoka County Parks Recreation and reviewing the recommendations of <br />the }~etropo!itan Council Parks and Open Space Division, the Critical <br />Area Staff__concludes that a minimum 30 foot wide trail c6rridcr is <br />necessary to provide for a regional trail east of the proposed <br />regional riverfront park (Mississippi West) in Ramsey. A 30 foot <br />corridor (measured from the edge of Front Street) is necessary to <br />provide an eight foot wide trail pad, safe setback from Front Street, <br />buffering of residential areas, and vegetative screening where <br />appropriate to benefit trail users and residences.
