Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION # RESOLUTION APPROVING 2005 DEPARTMENT REORGANIZATIONS WHEREAS, the City Administrator and department heads have been reviewing departmental organizational structures; and WHEREAS, several changes have been proposed and discussed with the City Council; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee, at its December 14, 2004 meeting agreed with staff's recommendation to adopt several departmental organizational changes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: The City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to adopt the following organizational changes: l. Create a Utilities Division by moving two Maintenance Workers from their current division(s) to the newly created Utilities Division. 2. Create a part-time Fire Secretary position 3. Promote the current Fire Inspector to Fire Marshall 4. Promote the current Assistant Cormnunity Development Director to Director and reclassify the cun'ent Community Development Director to Assistant Community Development Director/HRA Executive Director. 5. Move the TIF Specialist from the Finance Department to the Community Development Depat~trnent. 6. Create an Assistant Finance Officer position as the "second in command" within the depamnent The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 14th day of December 2004.
