Highways 47 and 5 and <br /> Dysprosium Street in Ramsey, Minnesota <br /> <br />Dear Mayor Oamec: <br /> <br />As of this date there has been no reply from Ramsey- City Engineer, S. teven J. Jankowski <br />about· speeding and noise control from a letter signed b~z 50% of the residents of Savannah <br />Oaks regarding noise contr6I and spe~ding at the stop light on the corner of Highwa3~s <br /> <br />47 & 5 in Ramsey, Minnesota. This building was open as of October 1, 1999~ Since <br /> <br />the installation of the traffic lights and'the enormous growth in this area, nothing <br /> <br />has been done to control this problem. People making the turn from Hwy47 to enter <br />County 5 have two lanes to begin with, Which becomes one lane in a Short distance, <br /> <br />This is used as a racetrack dUring the day and a drag strip at night. <br /> <br />We feel it is only reasonable 'that a speed reduction should be made, at least before' <br />and during the area where the Ramsey School ~md the Ramsey City Hall and Police <br />Department are located on Highway 5, before someone is killed or maimed in this <br /> <br />area. <br /> <br />Other sa~eas within the suburbs of the Twin Cities have ~os~ed Speed and Noise Control <br /> <br />sisns, example?
