Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd to close the public hearing at <br />8:05 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Shepherd, Brauer, and Watson. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Jeffrey, Johnson, and Van Scoy. <br /> <br />Commission Input <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt indicated he agrees with Commissioner Brauer that. they should, only rezone the <br />portion necessary, and thinks that is the consensus of the Planning Commission as a whole. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Watson to recommend that the City <br />Council adopt a resolution approving an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan to change the <br />land use on the Subject Property from Medium Density Residential to Mixed Use, with the <br />Subject Property defined as that property south of the northerly right-of-way line for 147t~ Lane <br />extension going westerly through the property. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Commissioners Jeffrey, Johnson, and Van Scoyl <br /> <br />Case #4 <br /> <br />Request to Rezone Certain Property from R-2 Medium Density Residential <br />to Town Center-4A; Case of Brightkeys, Inc. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon demonstrated the area on the map that <br />would be rezoned, based on the recommendation from the Planning Commission for the' <br />Comprehensive Plan amendment. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer commented that people need to-understand the area north of 147th was <br />always R-2, and that has. not changed, which means it can be up to seven units per acre~. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt asked what the prOcedure is if the Planning Commission makes a <br />re6ommendation different than the applicant's request. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon stated it should not affect the request. <br /> <br />Public Input <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd to close the public hearing at <br />8'10 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
