<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #17-11-295 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE TEMPORARY SNOW PLOW DRIVERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />annually the City employs Temporary Snow Plow Drivers to provide <br />general maintenance of public streets, parking lots and any other municipal related facilities <br />and/or equipment including snow plowing of public streets, trails, and walks; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> temporary Snow Plow Drivers are not required to hold a Commercial <br />Driver’s License as they are not driving a commercial vehicle; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> staff conducted the annual hiring process and selected several qualified <br />candidates; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />all candidates passed the pre-employment screening process; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> staff recommends hiring the following 2017-2018 Temporary Snow Plow <br />Drivers: Tim Barrett, Keith Noreen, Tom Heifort and James Wolfe, at $13.00 per hour, effective <br />on or near October 25, 2017, and Jake Marks at $13.00 per hour, effective on or near December <br />1, 2017. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt resolution #17-11-295 to do the following: <br /> <br /> <br />1)Hire Tim Barrett, Keith Noreen, Tom Heifort and James Wolfe as temporary snow <br />plow drivers, at $13.00 per hour, effective on or near October 25, 2017; and <br />2) <br /> <br />Hire Jake Marks as a temporary snow plow driver at $13.00 per hour, effective on or <br /> <br />near December 1, 2017. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />
