<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #17-11-291 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NOT TO WAIVE STATUATORY TORT LIMITS FOR LMCIT <br />LIABILITY COVERAGE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> city staff has reviewed the impacts of waiving and not-waiving statutory <br /> <br />tort limits for liability insurance with the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />City Council has determined it is in the best interest of the City to not <br /> <br />waive the statutory tort limits for liability insurance with LMCIT. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey does not waive the statutory tort limits for <br />LMCIT liability coverage. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Existing Vacancy <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />th <br />the 28 day of November, 2017. <br /> <br /> __________________________________________ <br /> Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
