<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #17-11-294 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE LELS CAPTAIN 2018 CONTRACT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the Police Captains are now represented by Law Enforcement Labor <br />Services (LELS); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City has reached a tentative agreement with LELS-Captains on all <br />articles within the contract; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />Staff recommends approving the one-year contract, effective <br />January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City will administer the 2018 contract as documented in the <br />Agreement between the City of Ramsey and Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc. (Local <br />408) Licensed Captains – January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #17-11-294, to settle the one-year labor agreement with <br />the LELS-Captains group. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Existing Vacancy <br /> <br />
