HIGHWAY #10 STLIDy <br />By: Megan Wald, Community Development Assistant <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Commission received the remaining portion of the Highway #10 Study at the May EDA <br />meeting. The Commission raised several questions that required further clarification from <br />Hoisington Koegler Group. The EDA asked that the study be brought back to the June EDA <br />meeting for further discussion with the consultant present. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />A representative from HKGi will be in attendance to present in detail the Highway 310 Study to' <br />the Commission. <br /> <br />in past EDA meetings the commission has requested information regarding the Highway # 10 <br />[nterregional Corridor Study that ~vLnDot is in the process of conducting. MnDot has hired a <br />transportation consultant, Howard Green Company, to assist in the Highway # 10 Study. A few <br />meetings have been conducted with the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and Policy <br />Ad¥isory Committee (PAC), Enclosed for your review is information that has been presented to <br />both the TAC and PAC[ <br /> <br />The Highway # 10 Interregional Corridor Study is in'the f'n'st phase of identifying what the 'issues <br />are related to Highway #10 where the high priority areas are located. The committees meet once <br />a month to further discuss information obtained by MnDot and Howard Green Company. <br /> <br />~hnDot is proposing to have the study completed by fall 2002. <br /> <br />Reco mmendatio n: <br /> <br />Based on the EDA's discussion the consultant will make any necessary changes to the Highway <br />#10 study. The City Council suggested that the study be reviewed by the EDA and Planning. <br />Commission during a.joint meeting. Therefore the ne~ step is to-schedule a joint meeting with <br />the Planning Commission to review the Highway #10 study as a whole document and forward it <br />onto the City Council with a recommendation. <br /> <br />EDA Action: <br /> <br />Propose dates to schedule a joint meeting~.~ith the Planning Commission to discuss the Highway <br /># l 0 study. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />Communi~ Development Director <br />TIF Specialist <br />EDA: 6.4.01 <br /> <br /> <br />
