Ra msey2040 Framework <br />Vision <br />Ramsey will evolve through citizen -driven, collaborative processes that respect the balance and <br />connectivity between its unique urban, rural, and natural environment for current and future <br />generations. <br />Mission <br />It is our mission to work together to responsibly grow our community, and to provide quality, cost- <br />effective, and efficient government services. <br />Goals and Imperatives <br />1. An Effective Organization <br />Key Community Themes <br />Since 2015, Ramsey has been engaging our community members to better understand key themes <br />impacting the future of Ramsey. Community leaders invested time and resources connecting with the <br />community at any opportunity possible. The following themes emerged. <br />Primary Themes <br />1. Passionate about the success of the future of Ramsey. <br />2. Protect the rural character of the community through a balanced growth approach. <br />3. Increased parks recreation opportunities for all ages. <br />4. Improved transportation network. <br />5. Increased educational opportunities within the community. <br />Secondary Themes <br />6. Completing the vision for The COR through a market -balanced approach. <br />7. A quality housing plan. <br />A variety of other themes emerged through a multi -year engagement process. Many of these themes <br />are found within individual system plan documents to follow. <br />Why We Plan <br />Land Use Planning is an important activity for the community to engage. Planning ensures that there is <br />adequate capacity for water, wastewater, and transportation. It ensures that the community builds a <br />balanced tax base that ensures fiscal responsibility and manages risks to the community and our <br />residents from natural disasters. <br />
