Under <br />inclusionary zoning, "developers would be required to include afford- <br />able housing when they build apartments" consisting of more than 10 <br />units. Specifically, under the proposed legislation, developers would <br />have to either: "make 15 percent of units affordable to people with 80 <br />percent of area median income, or build 10 percent of units so they're <br />affordable to 60 percent of the area median income." <br />Source: WABE; httn://news.wabe.or' <br />MARYLAND <br />In early September, the Harford County Council introduced Bill 17- <br />015—"Adoption of Zoning Maps," which recommends zoning changes <br />for more than 100 properties. It is expected that the council will vote on <br />the bill in November.
