CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: 01/09/2018 <br />Submitted For: Patrick Brama, Administrative Services <br />By: Patrick Brama, Administrative Services <br />4. 18. <br />Information <br />Title <br />Adopt Resolution #18-019 Approving the Conveyance of a Permanent Ingress/ Egress Easement Across Lot 1, <br />Block 1, COR Stone Brook Academy Plat <br />Purpose/Background: <br />PURPOSE <br />Consider approving the attached resolution which provides a public access easement across the Stone Brook <br />Academy and Childcare Center site (Lot 1, Block 1, COR Stone Brook Academy Plat). <br />This request was specifically made by the City Council on multiple occasions to ensure the efficient/ orderly <br />development this block, and allow public traffic to internally cross back -and -forth over this block of The COR. <br />Staff considers this an administrative case. The attached easement was drafted by the City Attorney. <br />BACKGROUND <br />On November 08, 2017, the city closed on the sale of a roughly 1-acre parcel of city -owned land to Stone Brook <br />Children's Academy & Childcare Center. The City began working on this project in November of 2016 (site <br />selection) and entered into a purchase agreement in March of 2017. This project is located in The COR, and <br />includes a roughly 9,200 sf facility, a 2,200 sf playground, and will serve nearly 150 children. The City sold its <br />property for $121,852.50. This project is anticipated for completion in 2018.
