Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
<br />RESOLUTION #18-018
<br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE SPECIAL PRIMARY
<br />ELECTION ON FEBRUARY 13, 2018
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey will be conducting a Special Primary Election on
<br />Tuesday, February 13, 2018; and
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 204B.21, election judges for
<br />precincts in a municipality must be appointed by the governing body of that municipality; and
<br />WHEREAS, the hourly rate of pay will be $9.00 for election judge trainees, $10.00 for
<br />regular election judges and $11.00 for chairs.
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows:
<br />1) That the following individuals be appointed to serve as election judges for the Primary
<br />Election to be held on February 13, 2018:
<br />Jan Cameron, Colleen Graber, Bernard Wiklund, Deb Koepsell, Jean Lewandowski,
<br />Bruce Johnson, David May, Nancy Nelson, Richard (Scott) Cords, Lana Howell,
<br />LaVonne Suckow, Michele Elifrits, Al Resler, Kathy Woods, Kevin Efram, Derek
<br />Scheuermann, Paula Chicoine, Michele Larkin, Sylvia Frolik, Tom Hoxter, Darlene
<br />Croteau, Carol Rudy, Andrea Hillebregt, Joyce Prior, Mariann Johnson, Jill Thieling,
<br />Christine Bell, Sharon Schmalzer, Bridget Arnold, Jill Winger, Kathryn Richter, David
<br />Newton, Mark Barrett, Becky Smith, Billie Jo Bishop, Julia Bishop, Madeline (Kay)
<br />McCulley, Mark Eggleston, James Sather, and Catherine Rosenthal.
<br />2) That Council authorize staff to train and hire additional election judges not named here
<br />should the need arise.
<br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
<br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:

<br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this
<br />the 9th day of January, 2018.
