CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: 01/09/2018 <br />By: Jo Thieling, Administrative Services <br />4. 6. <br />Information <br />Title <br />Approve Amending City Council Meeting Schedule for 2018 <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Purpose: To amend the meeting schedule for the City Council due to elections and holidays. <br />Background: As Council is aware, City meetings are not allowed on Election nights until after the polls close. <br />Rather than starting meetings at 8:01, past practice has been to reschedule the meeting nights that would be <br />affected. Those dates for 2018 are as follows: February 13 for Special Primary Election, April 10 for Special <br />General Election, and August 14 for Primary Election. The last date would be December 25 for Christmas Day. <br />All the above dates will be rescheduled to the Monday before, with the exception of the December meeting.
