CASE #4: <br /> <br /> CONFIRMATION OF iINDEPENDENT AUDITOR <br />FOR THE CI~"f OF RAMSEY FINANCIAL <br />STATEMENTS YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 1988 <br /> By: Dave Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />In 1986 the City of Ramsey received proposals from independent auditors for the <br />purpose of auditing the financial statements of the City of Ramsey for the year <br />end of 1986, 1987, and 1988. At that time the City of Ramsey selected the firm <br />of Pannell Kerr Forster for that purpose and established the rates that would <br />be paid for those years. It is Staff's recommendation that this process be <br />repeated every three years. However, at this time the City Council is asked to <br />review and confirm the engagement of Pannell Kerr Forster for the purpose of <br />auditing the year end financial statements of the City of Ramsey for 1988. <br /> <br />Enclosed for your information is a letter from Pannell Kerr Forster dated <br />November 4, 1988 along with the engagement letter confirming their services for <br />the upcoming audit. <br /> <br />Rec ommenda t i on: <br /> <br />Council Aa tion: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Confirm the engagement of Pannell Kerr Forster for the purpose of auditing <br />the year end 1988 financial statements of the City of Ramsey for an amount <br />not to exceed $10,800. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator <br />At torn ey <br />Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />~Other <br /> <br /> <br />
