Councilmember for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved RESOLUTION 488- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CENTRAL PARK PARK CENTER WELL (PROJECT #88-16) WHEREAS, pursuant to a solicitation for bids for the construction of a well at Central Park Park Center (Project 88-16), bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received: Bidder Amount of Bid E.H. Renner & Sons, Inc. North Star Drilling, Inc. $7,267.50 $9,865.00 AND WHEREAS, it appears that E.H. Renner & Sons, Inc. of Elk River, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with E.H. Renner & Sons, Inc. of Elk River, Minnesota in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of a well for the Central Park Park Center according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Ramsey City Council and on file in the office of the City Administrator. 2) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Counci!member and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the fc!!owing were absent: whereuocn said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 25th day cf October, 1988.
