Councilmember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #04-10-315 RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #04-30, BRIDGE NO. 02569 RHINESTONE STREET WHEREAS, on July 13, 2004, City Council adopted Resolution #04-07-178 approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #04-30, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the three lowest quotes that were received: Bidder Redstone Construction Robert Schroeder Construction Lunda Construction Company Engineers Estimate Amount of Bid $999,279.3O $1,061,369.90 $1,117,689.40 $924,810.33 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Redstone Construction is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Restone Construction in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of Improvement Project #04-30 in the amount of $999,279.30. 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Elvig, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Cook Councilmember Elvig Councilmember Kurak Councilmember Pearson Councilmember Strommen Councilmember Zimmerman
