Business Grand Openings:. None to report. <br /> <br />Marketing Initiatives: Staff mailed the DOn't Break the Bank and Balancing Growth pieces to <br />the direct mail list approved by the EDA during the December meeting. <br /> <br />BUsiness Communication InitiatiVes: The taping of the QCTV Business Connection went well <br />and 'will begin airing in mid January. Publication of the Business Connection newsletter will <br />commence in January/February. If the EDA has any ideas to mix it up and provide the 'most <br />effective newsletter to the business community, staff would appreciate any input. <br /> <br />Staff is in the process of securing Chairman Bell from the Metropolitan Council to speak at the <br />March Business Network Meeting. <br /> <br />EDA Projects: <br /> <br />Douglas and Gary Hanson (Bakestar Property): Nothing to report. <br /> <br />EDA Redevelopment Signs: The signs are complete and should be placed on the chosen property <br />sites by weeks end. The sites are as follows: Spohn rental site (County 116), Former Cox <br />Property (Sunfish Lk Blvd next to Life Fitness), Bakestar and the Martin property (County 116 <br />& Azurite St.) <br /> <br />B & A Cylinder: Negotiations have re-opened with B & A Cylinder. At this point it is becoming <br />difficult to come to a consensus on the purchase price. Staff will continue to try to find a <br />mutually agreeable situation for both the City and-B & A Cylinder. <br /> <br />Miscellaneous: <br /> <br />Debee ProperS: Staff is in contact with the owner of this parcel and is beginning negotiations <br />to purchase said property. <br /> <br />Amoco Property.: Staff is in contact with the agent for the Old Amoco on Highway 47. Staff <br />will get a formal letter of intent to Amoco when City Staff and the City Attorney complete the <br />letter. <br /> <br />Future Meeting Topics: I. 2005 Workplan <br /> 2.
