Police <br /> <br />The police have requested and been;auth0rized the purchase of a 4-wheel drive SUV ($23,000) <br />and an administrative car $15,000. These two items will be purchased through the cooperative <br />purchasing venture. <br /> <br />Fire <br /> <br />Several items for the .fire department fall under this category, They are a 4X4 duty officer <br />vehicle for $30,000, replace pump for Grass truck #1 for $10,000, Back up power at Fire #1 for <br />$30,000 and $15,000 for confined space rescue :equipment. If purchasing cooperatives are not <br />available for these items, direct negotiations or at least two quotations will need to be obtained <br />before purchasing. <br /> <br />Building Inspections <br /> <br />Included in the 2005 bUdget is $20,000 for a pick-up truck for building inspections. Once again, <br />this purchase will be made through a joint Purchasing program. <br /> <br />Civil Defense <br /> <br />Included in the 2005 budget is $40,500 for the replacement of 2 Civil Defense sirens. At least <br />two written price quotes are required for purchase: <br /> <br />Engineering : <br /> <br /> 4 X4 truck for $25,000 has been budgeted for 2005. Again, probably will be <br />A <br /> purchased <br />through a joint venture purchasing program, but if not, at least a two quote requirement. <br /> <br />Included in the 2004 budget was a Copier machine that was not purchased. The amount of <br />$20,000 will be carried over from the 2004 budget for purchase in 2005 and will require at lease <br />two price quotes for purchase. <br /> <br />Street Maintenance <br /> <br />Included in the 2005 budget is $35,000 for a ~ ton 4x4 plow truck. Again, written quotes would <br />be obtained relating to the desired equiPment. <br /> <br /> <br />
