Council Member <br /> <br />introduced the f(~llowing resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />CONSIDER RECLASSIFICATION AND PAY SCALE <br /> ADJUSTMENTS OF CITY POSITIONS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff discussed with Council during the 2005 budget process the <br />need to evaluate several job descriptiOns for City positions and included funds in the 2005 <br />budget roi' potential pay scale adjsutments; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff has updated :the job descriptions for the positions of Police <br />Captain, Zoning/Recycling Coordinator (new title), Department Secretary, and Records <br />Management Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff has evaluated each of the job descriptions for points associated <br />with pay equity, comparable pay scale~ in the Stanton Group Six Cities Report, and <br />relational pay within the City of Ramsey organization; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed pay scale adjustments are within the collective $7500 <br />budgeted for this purpose in the 2005 budget. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />Confirms the recommendation of:the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br /> <br />Authorize pay scale adjustments for the following positions: <br /> <br />POSITION CURRENT RANGE <br />Police Captain $27.24 - $34.951 <br />Zoning/Recyc. Coord. $18.96 - $23.70 (CDA) <br />Department Secretary $15.30 - $19.12: <br />Records Mgmt Clerk $15.90- $19.88 <br /> <br />PROPOSED RANGE <br /> <br />$29.83 - $37.29 <br />$20.62 - $25.77 <br />$15.90 - $19.50 <br />$16.97 - $21.21 <br /> <br />Tile motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />M ember, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and tile following voted against the same: <br />and thc following abstained: ~ <br /> <br />and thc £ollowing were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 11tl~ day of January, 2005. <br /> <br /> <br />
