Councilmember Anderson stated that there seems to be more and more concern about the affects <br />of mold and indoor air quality. She inquired if they are addressing those issues. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson replied that staff did some excavation on the south side of <br />the building to address some of the water problems in the basement. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to authorize <br />change order No. 1 in the amount of $1,168 for the City Hall remodeling project and to authorize <br />the City Administrator to authorize change orders in an amount not to exceed $5,000 for the <br />entire City Hall remodeling project. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Zimmerman inquired as to why staff was asking for the <br />additional $5,000. Assistant City Administrator Nelson replied that staff took 5% percent of the <br />total project cost. Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if those change orders will be brought <br />before the Council. Assistant City Administrator Nelson replied that .staff intends on bringing a <br />summary at the end of the project, unless the costs would go over $5,000. Running into some <br />electrical issues. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Anderson, Hendriksen, <br />Kurak, and Zimmennan. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #12: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance to Vacate Drainage and Utility Easement in Northfork St. <br />Andrews Addition: Case of North Fork, Inc. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that on July 23, 2002, the City Council introduced an ordinance to <br />vacate drainage and utility easements contained within portions of Lots 11 and 12, Block 2, <br />Northfork St. Andrews Addition. These areas of Lots 11 and 12, Block 2, have been approved <br />for conveyance to the Links Golf Course because they are regularly used as part of the 17th <br />fairway. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to adopt Ordinance <br />#02-27 to vacate a portion of the drainage and utility easements on Lots 11 and 12, Block 2, <br />Northfork St. Andrews Addition. <br /> <br />A roll vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak aye <br />Councihnember Zimmerman aye <br />Councihnember Hendriksen aye <br />Councilmember Anderson aye <br />Mayor Gamec aye <br /> <br />City Council/August 13, 2002 <br /> Page 23 of 25 <br /> <br /> <br />
