Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #2018-004 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A COMPRHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT, CONTINGENT <br />UPON METROPOLITAN COUNCIL APPROVAL, TO CHANGE A LAND USE <br />DESIGNATION FOR RAMSEY ELEMENTARY CAMPUS 2. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey (the "City") has initiated an amendment to the Comprehensive <br />Plan to change the future land use designation from Low Density Residential to Public/Quasi Public <br />on the properties generally located south of 173rd Avenue NW and east of Nowthen Boulevard and <br />legally described as follows: <br />Lots 2, Block 1 Anoka Hennepin 2"d Addition, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />(the "Subject Property") <br />WHEREAS, the City has reviewed the requested site plan and rezoning, contingent upon final <br />approval of the Comprehensive Plan Amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on January 4, 2018, conducted a public <br />hearing, and considered the Applicant's request for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 23, 2018, the City Council considered the requested Comprehensive <br />Plan Amendment. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the request for a land use designation change as <br />follows. <br />Land Use Category <br />Pre -Amendment Acres <br />Post -Amendment Acres <br />Low Density Residential <br />34.16 acres <br />0.0 acres <br />Public/Quasi-Public <br />0.0 acres <br />34.16 acres <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary documentation <br />to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 2030 Comprehensive Plan to change the land use <br />designation to Public/Quasi Public. <br />3) That this land use change shall become effective concurrent with the City' s receipt of notification <br />of approval from Metropolitan Council. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />
