Economic Development/TIF Specialist Sullivan noted the adjournment time should be corrected <br />to 8:22 a.m.p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Member LeTourneau, Seconded by Member Steffen, to approve the following <br />meeting minutes as amended: <br /> <br />1) Economic Development Authority regular meeting minutes dated November 10, 2004. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Riley, Members LeTourneau, Steffen, Elvig, and <br />Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Member Gromberg and Keifer. <br /> <br />EDA BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Development Signs <br /> <br />Associate Planner Wald reviewed that the EDA previously determined language for the <br />development signs. Staff would like clarification as to how many signs the EDA would like to <br />order, and the specific properties they would be utilized for. Staff recommends the signs be <br />located at the Bakestar and Martin properties. She noted the graphic on the example could be <br />changed or removed. Staff would also like to discuss the idea of purchasing two signs that are <br />erected when a project is completed to state that the revitalization is complete. She reviewed <br />suggested language for the revitalization complete signs. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Board was to remove the graphic and make the logo bigger from the <br />example of the development signs. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Wald requested direction on the number of signs. She noted the cost is <br />approximately $350 per sign and suggested the EDA may want two or three signs. The EDA <br />budget allows for the signs. <br /> <br />Member Elvig inquired if there might be a price break for printing more signs at one time. He <br />commented two signs on each property might have more impact. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Wald indicated she will inquire about the cost of printing and if it is more cost <br />effective to order multiple signs. She will inform the Board by email. <br /> <br />Member Strommen commented two signs wOuld be too few. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Wald requested direction if staff should proceed running design concepts on <br />the revitalization complete project signs or wait until 2005 to proceed with this. <br /> <br />Member LeTourneau suggested staff begin the process of concept design for the revitalization <br />complete signs. <br /> <br />Economic Development Authority/December 8, 2004 <br /> page 2 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
