Public Hearing <br /> Mayor Strommen called the public hearing to order at 7:36 p.m. <br /> Citizen Input <br /> There was none. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Kuzma, seconded by Councilmember LeTourneau, to close the <br /> public hearing. <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Kuzma, LeTourneau, Johns, <br /> Riley, and Shryock. Voting No: None. <br /> The public hearing was closed at 7:36 p.m. <br /> Council Business <br /> Motion by Councilmember Riley, seconded by Councilmember Shryock, to Adopt Resolution <br /> #18-010 Adopting the 2018-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). <br /> Further discussion: Councilmember LeTourneau stated that he supports the comments by <br /> Councilmember Riley, noting that there is a lot of activity within the document. He stated that <br /> the Council has asked for a prioritization of the CIP, which has been coded and is available on <br /> the City website. He welcomed input from residents on the prioritization of the elements within <br /> the document. Finance Director Lund stated that the priority codes are on page 14 of the <br /> document and the codes then follow throughout the document. <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Riley, Shryock, Johns, <br /> Kuzma, and LeTourneau. Voting No: None. <br /> 7. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> 7.01: Consider Approving Plans and Specifications and Advertise for Bids: Trott Brook <br /> Boardwalk <br /> Parks and Assistant Public Works Superintendent Riverblood reviewed the staff report and <br /> recommendation from the Park Commission and staff to approve the Plans and Specifications <br /> and proceed to advertise for bids to construct the Trott Brook Boardwalk. <br /> Councilmember Riley asked the lifespan of a boardwalk. <br /> Parks and Assistant Public Works Superintendent Riverblood stated that they are using wider <br /> decking and increasing the fasteners size/strength, which will help to extend the lifespan. He <br /> noted that the existing boardwalk was built in 1994/1995. He explained that maintenance <br /> activity has included replacement of boards and noted that the bridge on the existing boardwalk <br /> City Council/January 9,2018 <br /> Page 6 of 12 <br />
