In 2015, the City of Ramsey became a Heart Safe - oned by Ramsey resident and sudden cardiac arrest survi- 7900 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, MN the survival rates of sudden cardiac arrest by teaching (763) 576-6821 residents how to administer CPR and ensuring proper coverage of public access AEDs throughout our commu- nity. Today, the program has trained over 1400 residents AEDs around the City. In partnership with Heart Safe Ramsey, the Ramsey Lions Club have made AED purchase that saved Mikes life in January, 2018 was purchased by the Ramsey Lions with proceeds from their charitable pull Safe Ramsey program. At the Council meeting on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 Mayor Strommen and the Ramsey City Council recognized Heart Safe Ramsey, the Ramsey Lions and the bystanders that took action that evening for their lifesav- bystanders, Amy Miller, who was in attendance, with a Ramsey Heart Safe Life Saving Award. Survivor Mike and his daughter Cami were also grateful to be in attendance. While bystander CPR and AEDs are tools we all hope we wont have to use, Ramsey is ready when they are needed, Mayor Strommen stated as she described the im- portant impact this program has had on our community.
