Mon- <br />- <br />763-438-7315, or email info@opentobusinessmn.org <br /> When Ramsey resident, Mike Stueve, went into sud- <br />den cardiac arrest at the Outpost Bar and Grill in Ram- <br />sey on January 11, 2018, bystanders jumped into action <br />administering CPR and utilizing the automated external <br />Fuel Rewards <br />saved Mikes life. <br />Earn fuel discounts when <br />you shop with us! <br /> In 2015, the City of Ramsey became a Heart Safe <br />- <br />oned by Ramsey resident and sudden cardiac arrest survi- <br />7900 Sunwood Drive NW, <br />Ramsey, MN <br />the survival rates of sudden cardiac arrest by teaching <br />(763) 576-6821 <br />residents how to administer CPR and ensuring proper <br />coverage of public access AEDs throughout our commu- <br />nity. Today, the program has trained over 1400 residents <br />AEDs around the City. In partnership with Heart Safe <br />Ramsey, the Ramsey Lions Club have made AED purchase <br />that saved Mikes life in January, 2018 was purchased by <br />the Ramsey Lions with proceeds from their charitable pull <br />Safe Ramsey program. <br /> At the Council meeting on Tuesday, January 23, <br />2018 Mayor Strommen and the Ramsey City Council <br />recognized Heart Safe Ramsey, the Ramsey Lions and the <br />bystanders that took action that evening for their lifesav- <br />bystanders, Amy Miller, who was in attendance, with a <br />Ramsey Heart Safe Life Saving Award. Survivor Mike and <br />his daughter Cami were also grateful to be in attendance. <br /> While bystander CPR and AEDs are tools we all <br />hope we wont have to use, Ramsey is ready when they are <br />needed, Mayor Strommen stated as she described the im- <br />portant impact this program has had on our community. <br />To learn more about Heart Safe Ramsey, visit our website <br />at www.cityoframsey.com/HeartSafe. <br />22Ramsey Resident March/April 2018 <br />
