CC Work Session 2. 3. <br />Meeting Date: 02/27/2018 <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Discussion Regarding Proposed Updates to the Personnel Policy <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The City Council met briefly during the work -session held on February 12, 2018, to discuss the Personnel Policy. <br />The purpose of this discussion is to provide the City Council with additional information on proposed updates now <br />that the City Attorney has completed his review of the policy and to seek feedback regarding any revisions the City <br />Council would like to see included in the updated policy. <br />Sections within the policy containing substantive changes are listed below and can be found within the attached <br />policy on the pages as noted below: <br />Section 4 - Group Benefits / page 17-19 <br />4.1 Health Insurance Eligibility <br />4.3 PERA Phased Retirement <br />4.4 Employee Savings Plans <br />4.8 Non -union Post Employment HealthCare Savings Plan <br />Section 7 - Conduct / page 37 - 46 <br />7.1 Code of Conduct <br />7.2 Harassment Policy <br />Section 9 - Travel Training and Education / page 55-58 <br />9.6 Training and Education Policy <br />Section 12 - Drug Free Workplace Policy / page 75 -78 <br />12.2 Drug and Alcohol Testing <br />Note: There have been several proposed changes included within the attached policy. Please pay close attention to <br />all mark-ups. <br />Non -substantive changes have been proposed for clarity and general updates.
