1. Submission to such conduct is made either implicitly or explicitly as a term or condition of <br />an individual's employment; <br />2. Such conduct has the purpose or effect of substantially interferinc in an individual's <br />employment or in creatinc an intimidatinc, hostile, or offensive workinc environment. <br />Violation of this Policy by an emnlovee may subiect that employee to disciplinary action, up to and <br />including immediate discharce. <br />Examples of sexually harassinc conduct under this policy may include, but are not limited to, the <br />followine: <br />1. Use of offensive or demeanine terms. which have a sexual connotation or a neeative ¢ender <br />connotation; <br />2. Obiectionable nhvsical proximity or nhvsical contact: <br />3. Anv unwelcome. sexually motivated touchine: <br />4. Repeated. unwelcome sueeestions recardin4, or invitations to. social encasements or work- <br />related social events: <br />5. Anv indication. express or implied. that an employee's iob security. iob assienment. <br />opportunities fob pllvancemept, or other terms or conditions of emnlovment may depend on <br />the erantine of sexual favors to any other employee or. supervisor: <br />6. Any action relating to an employee's iob status, which is taken as a direct result of the <br />erantine or refusal of social or sexual favors: <br />7. The deliberate or careless creatiop of an atmosphere of sexual harassment or intimidation: <br />8. The deliberate or careless expression of iokes or remarks of a sexual nature to. or in the <br />presence of. employees who may find such iokes or remarks offensive: <br />9. The deliberate or careless dissemination or display of materials such as cartoons. articles. <br />pictures. other eranhics of a sexual nature. etc.. which have a sexual content and which are <br />not necessary for work; <br />10. The use of succestive facial expressions or nestures of a sexual nature. <br />Other protected class harassment is offensive conduct or communication based on an <br />individual's' race, color, creed, relicion, national oricin, sex, sexual orientation, disability, ace, <br />marital status. familial status. status with reeard to public assistance. or any other characteristic <br />protected by State or federal law when: <br />41Page <br />
