Council Update City Board and Commission Interviews. Interviews will be held on Tuesday, March 20, in the Lake Itasca Room beginning at 6:30 p.m. There are five new applicants to interview. The number of vacant or expiring seats are as follows: One on the Economic Development Authority, one on the Environmental Policy Board, one on the Park and Recreation Commission, and three on the Planning Commission. Three current members with terms ending March 31, 2018 are seeking re- appointment. Councilmember At-Large Candidate Forum. Candidates for the City's Councilmember At-Large seat, Chris Riley and � ' � �' p�� Ida Theis,participated in the Candidate Forum,hosted by The League of Women Voters ABC on Tuesday, March 6 at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers. Candidates responded to 4' prepared questions from forum organizers and written questions from forum attendees. The forum was taped by QCTV and are available viewing on demand at www.qctv.org. Take part in this Visual Preference Survey hosted by students from the U of M Resilient Communities Project. The survey will take about 15 - 20 mins and is intended to get your thoughts on building design for new development in the City, as well as volunteer opportunities. Annual Employee Appreciation Breakfast/Years-of-Service Awards/All-Staff Meetings. This event will take place on Wednesday, April 18, in the Alexander Ramsey Room at City Hall. The management team will be on hand bright and early to prepare a tasty breakfast, ready for serving at 7:30 am.
