Provide feedback. Authorize staff to execute this work. <br />***This case is a continuation of a case discussed on 02/27, please see Change Log. <br />BACKGROUND (resident survey): <br />As a result of the 2013 Council strategic planning process, direction was provided to initiate a regular, statistically <br />significant, resident surveying process (one survey every two years). Generally, survey results benefit the City in a <br />wide range of applications (budgeting process, policy discussions, capital improvement plan, strategic plan, <br />comprehensive plan, etc.). The City completed a resident survey in 2014 and 2016 (see attached). <br />PROCESS <br />Please see attached timeline. We are anticipating this survey to be completed by residents in April, and for results <br />to be back to Council by July. <br />Notification: <br />NA <br />Observations/Alternatives: <br />CHANGE LOG: <br />At the 02/27 City Council work session, various changes to the survey were requested. Below is a log of changes. <br /># 11, updated to also include ratings for Anoka County and State of Minnesota. <br /># 16, updated to now include a rating for a new community center. Ratings for business incubators were <br />dropped. <br />#19, added back in this question RE the LT street maintenance program. Dropped the two questions <br />previously included RE code violations and land use permits. <br />#D2, was dropped altogether, this was a demographic question RE rating your current health. Below is a <br />response from the National Research Center.* <br />*This question is part of our Health and Wellness participation question set. These types of questions <br />are widely used in health research and are used to a snapshot at the overall health of the community. <br />
