Mayor Gamec introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #02-02-059 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING LUTZ ACRES AMENDMENT TO THE <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO SUBMIT THE <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT TO METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received a request for an amendment to the <br />Comprehensive Plan from Greg and Diane Becker, Leland Stull, David and Nadine King, <br />Geoffrey Bridwell, and James McChesney (the Applicants) for the purpose of amending the land <br />use designation of the property shown on Attachment A (the Subject Properties); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the 2001 Comprehensive Plan shows the Subject Properties' designated <br />land use as Low Density Urban Residential; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicants are requesting that the Subject Properties' designated land <br />use be changed to Medium Density Urban Residential; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission and City Council conducted a public <br />hearing on January 24, 2002 in order to take testimony regarding the proposed land use change; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on February 7, 2002 and <br />recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for an amendment to the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves changing the land use designation of the <br />Subject Properties from Low Density Urban Residential to Medium Density Urban <br />Residential. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary <br />documentation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan <br />to designate the Subject Properties as Medium Density Residential. <br /> <br />3) That this land use change shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of <br /> notification of approval from Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
