Mayor Gamec introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #02-02-063 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APROVING PROPERTY SOUTH OF HIGHWAY #10 AT ANOKA <br />BORDER AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENISIVE PLAN AND AUTHORIZING <br />CITY STAFF TO SUBMIT THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT TO <br />METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey as part of the Comprehensive Plan process has <br />discussed amending the land use designation of the property shown on Attachment A (the <br />Subject Properties); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the 2001 Comprehensive Plan shows the Subject Properties' designated <br />land use as Places to Shop; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has brought forward the idea that the Subject Properties' land use <br />designation be changed to Places to Work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission and City Council conducted a public <br />hearing on January 24, 2002 in order to take testimony regarding the proposed land use change; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on February 7, 2002 and <br />recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for an amendment to the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves changing the land use designation for the <br /> Subject Properties from Places to Shop to Places to Work. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary <br />documentation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan <br />to change the land use designation for the Subject Properties to Places to Work. <br /> <br />3) That this land use change shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of <br /> notification of approval from Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
