Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #02-02-069 A RESOLUTION APPROVING TEXT AMENDMENTS TO THE 2001 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO SUBMIT THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT TO METROPOLITAN COUNCIL WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey, as part of the Comprehensive Plan process, has discussed amending the text of the 2001 Comprehensive Plan as shown on Attachment A (the Text Amendment); and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission and City Council conducted a public hearing on January 24, 2002 in order to take testimony regarding the proposed Text Amendment; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on February 7, 2002 and recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the Text Amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary documentation to Metropolitan Council for the Text Amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan. 3) That the Text Amendment shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of notification of approval from Metropolitan Council. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Anderson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Hendriksen Councilmember Anderson Councilmember Kurak Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: Nolle and the following were absent: None
