Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #02-03-078 RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #0420~ ELMCREST PARK SOCCER FIELD GRADING WHEREAS, on March 12, 2002, City Council adopted Resolution #02~03-078 approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #0420, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, the following is a summary the six lowest quotes that were received: Bidder Park Construction Dennis Fehn Richard Knutson Forest Lake Contracting Carl Bolander & Sons FM Frattalone Amount of Bid $88,481.00 $99,O48.25 $107,890.70 $I36,949.40 $141,473.00 $146,406.70 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Park Construction Company is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Park Construction Company in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of Improvement Proj eot #0420 in the amount of $88,481.00. 2) That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to ali bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
