Gamec introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #02-03-082 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CALLING FOR ADOPTION OF DRIVEWAYS AND ACCESS ROADS POLICY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, These private streets are only to be allowed during medium density and multiple family <br />developments and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Residential developments must provide one main thoroughfare through the development <br />and main thoroughfares must be dedicated as public streets. Private streets or driveway collectors are permitted <br />when they serve as access driveways from dwelling units to public streets and meet the required standards. All <br />access roadways must meet standard street specification as outlined in Section 9.50.30 of the City code such as <br />the strength of the pavement and vertical and horizontal alignment with the following exceptions: <br /> <br />ao <br /> <br />Minimum private street width with no parking permitted: <br />Minimum private street width with parking permitted on one side of street: <br />Minimum private street width with parking permitted without restriction: <br />Maximum private street length without turnaround provided: <br />Maximum private street length with a turning provision provided: <br />Maximum private street length with a cul-de-sac provided: <br /> <br />24 feet <br />28 feet <br />32 feet <br />200 feet <br />300 feet <br />600 feet* <br /> <br />2. Minimum access road width at street frontage: 24 feet <br /> <br />3. Minimum parking aisle width: 24 feet <br /> <br />4. Maximum driveway width at road frontage: 20 feet <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Edge of curb opening shall not be closer to nearest portion of a street right-of-way intersection than <br />27 feet or 2/3 of the lot width, whichever is smaller (where a "T" intersection exists, a drive may be <br />located opposite the end of the intercepted street) <br /> <br />6. Minimum access drive angle to the street: <br /> <br />75 degrees <br /> <br />7. Building setback from private street - measured from back of curb <br /> <br />25 feet <br /> <br />8.
