Councilmember Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #02-04-089 RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO CB & I CONSTRUCTORS, INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #99-64 (WATER TOWER NO. 2) WHEREAS, on May 23, 2000, the Ramsey City Council approved Improvement Project #99-64; and WHEREAS, on July 25, 2000, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #00-07-184 awarding the bid for the construction of Water Tower No. 2 to PDM Corporation in the amount of $1,455,000; and WHEREAS, CB & I Constructors, Inc. has acquired PDM Corporation since the onset of this project; and WHEREAS, City Engineer, Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and recommends final payment to CB & I Constructors, Inc. in the amount of $73,225.00. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to CB & I Constructors, Inc. for construction of Water Tower No. 2 project in the amount of $172,900.00. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the date of April 9th, 2002. 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Kurak and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Anderson Councilmember Kurak Councilmember Hendriksen Councilmember Zimmerman RESOLUTION #02-04-089 Page 1 of 2
