Councilmember Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #02-04-094 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO PREPARE AND <br />ADVERTISE BIDS BASED UPON PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE <br />REMODEL OF CITY HALL, PLAN B <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has been considering space needs at City Hall for several <br />years; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has retained the services of E & V Construction <br />Managers and BKV Group to assess current and future space needs at City Hall; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an interim remodeling project is necessary to accommodate immediate <br />space needs at City Hall prior to the consideration of expansion of existing City Hall or <br />construction of a new City Hall; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed several interim-remodeling plans and at their <br />March 26, 2002 Council Meeting, authorized the City Administrator to enter into a contract with <br />E & V Construction Managers and BKV Group and ordered the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for the remodel of City Hall, Plan B; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the next step in the process is to prepare and advertise a bid package for the <br />mechanical, electrical, demolition, and architectural contracts for the project. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes the City Administrator to prepare <br />and advertise bids based upon the plans and specifications for the remodel of City Hall, <br />Plan B <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Hendriksen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
