Councilmember Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLTUION #02-05-109 RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE CHANGE ORDER NO 3 TO FOREST LAKE CONTRACTING FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #99-51, 153ra AVENUE NW/155TM AVENUE N.W. EXTENSION WHEREAS, on August 8, 2000, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #00-08- 191 authorizing plans and specifications and advertisement for bids on Improvement Project #99-51; and WHEREAS, on November 14, 2000, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #00- 11-292 awarding the bid for Improvement Project #99-51, 153rd/155th Avenue NW Extension to Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $716,399.48; and WHEREAS, the City desires to improve the project by adding right turn lanes at the intersection of Alpine and Variolite Street and Alpine and Armstrong Boulevard; and, WHEREAS, on March 26, 2002, the City Council ratified the recommendation to prepare a change order for the additional work. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes Changer Order No 3 to Forest Lake Contracting for Improvement Project 99-51, Alpine Drive construction in the amount of $56,084.35. 2) That the City Council authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the form for this change order. 3) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided with a signed copy of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly' seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Kurak Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Anderson Councilmember Hendriksen and the following voted against the same: none and the following abstained: none
