Councilmember Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #02-05-117 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF TODD MARLETTE TO FULL- <br />TIME PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council authorized staff to begin the process to recruit for a full-time <br />Public Works Maintenance Worker; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the position was posted internally with one letters of interest received and <br />then advertised externally and 71 applications were received; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, eleven candidates were interviewed by a staff panel, and the panel <br />recommended to the Personnel Committee to hire Todd Marlette for the full-time Public Works <br />Maintenance Worker position. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br /> Personnel Committee to hire Todd Marlette for the full-time Public Works Maintenance <br /> Worker position. <br /> <br />2) That Todd Marlette will be compensated at an hourly rate of $15.0364/hour, will accrue <br /> two weeks of vacation per year, and be required to complete a six-month probationary <br /> period. His hiring is contingent on successful completion of background checks, <br /> employment physical, and drug/alcohol screen. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councitmember <br />Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec <br /> Councilmember Anderson <br /> Councilmember Kurak <br /> Councilmember Hendriksen <br /> Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br />
