Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #02-06-147 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 24, 2001 the City Council approved a Real Estate Exchange Agreement <br />(the "Agreement") with TILLER CORPORATION, a Minnesota Corporation ("TILLER"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement the City acquired various parcels of land necessary for <br />the right-of-way to construct 141 st Avenue NW and an extension of Ebony Street NW; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in addition to the right-of-way acquisition the Agreement provided for the <br />acquisition by the City of a parcel of land being a part of Lot 1, Auditor's Subdivision No. 31, Anoka <br />County, Minnesota and more particularly described on attached Exhibit A; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the real property described on Exhibit A hereto is registered land; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Anoka County Registrar of Titles requires a City Council resolution <br />appr6ving any conveyance of land to the City prior to accepting conveyance documents for recording. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the City does hereby accept the conveyance to it of the real property described on attached <br /> Exhibit A. <br /> <br />2. That the City's Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the <br /> City those documents necessary to record the conveyance documents for the real property <br /> described on Exhibit A attached hereto. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Kurak <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Council member Anderson <br />Council member Hendriksen <br />Council member Kurak <br />Council member Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # 02-06-147_ <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
