Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #02-06-147 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY WHEREAS, on April 24, 2001 the City Council approved a Real Estate Exchange Agreement (the "Agreement") with TILLER CORPORATION, a Minnesota Corporation ("TILLER"); and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement the City acquired various parcels of land necessary for the right-of-way to construct 141 st Avenue NW and an extension of Ebony Street NW; and WHEREAS, in addition to the right-of-way acquisition the Agreement provided for the acquisition by the City of a parcel of land being a part of Lot 1, Auditor's Subdivision No. 31, Anoka County, Minnesota and more particularly described on attached Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, the real property described on Exhibit A hereto is registered land; and WHEREAS, the Anoka County Registrar of Titles requires a City Council resolution appr6ving any conveyance of land to the City prior to accepting conveyance documents for recording. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. That the City does hereby accept the conveyance to it of the real property described on attached Exhibit A. 2. That the City's Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City those documents necessary to record the conveyance documents for the real property described on Exhibit A attached hereto. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Kurak and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Council member Anderson Council member Hendriksen Council member Kurak Council member Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None RESOLUTION # 02-06-147_ Page 1 of 2
