Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #02-07-175 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0624 <br />REQUEST FOR A VARIANCE FROM THE MIMMUM LOT <br />RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT <br /> <br />RELATING TO A <br />SIZE IN THE R-1 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Robert Longfield hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has properly <br />applied for a Board of Adjustment variance to the minimum lot size in the R-1 Residential <br />District for property generally located at 5751 177th Ave. and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 1, Block 1 Echo Ridge, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Board of Adjustment for a public hearing pursuant to <br />Section 9.03.05 of the Ramsey City Code on June 6, 2002, and that said public hearing was <br />properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated as a <br />part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />2. That the Board of Adjustment continued the public hearing to the July 11, 2002 meeting to <br /> consider other alternatives. <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property is zoned R-1 Residential and is located in the Rural Developing <br /> Area. <br /> <br />4. That the Applicant participated in the platting of Echo Ridge which created the Subject <br /> Property and signed on the plat of Echo Ridge. <br /> <br />5. The Applicant has made proper application to the City to subdivide his property into two <br /> single family lots. <br /> <br />6. That Section 9.20.11, Subd. 4 of the City Code requires minimum lot sizes in the Rural <br /> Developing Area of the R- 1 Residential District of 2.5 acres. <br /> <br />7. That on July 11, 2002, the Ramsey Board of Adjustment adopted findings of fact and a <br /> resolution denying the request for variance. <br /> <br />8. That on July 12, 2002, the City received a written appeal of the Board of Adjustment's <br /> decision and requested to be heard by the City Council. <br /> <br />9. That the special conditions causing the undue hardship do not result from the actions of the <br /> Applicant. <br /> <br /> <br />
