Councilmember Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:

<br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION
<br />ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2002, AND THE GENERAL ELECTION ON NOVEMBER 5, 2002
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, thc City of Ramsey will be conducting a Primary Election on September
<br />10, 2002, and a General Election on November 5, 2002; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 204B.21, election judges for
<br />precincts in a municipality must be appointed by the governing body of that municipality; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the hourly rate of pay will be $8.00 for election judge trainees, $8.50 for
<br />regular election judges and $9.00 for chairs; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City will be receiving a subsidy from Anoka County of approximately
<br />$176.00 per precinct.
<br />
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows:

<br />That the following individuals be appointed to serve as election judges for the Primary
<br />Election to be held on September 10, 2002, and/or the General Election to be held on
<br />November 5, 2002:

<br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councihnember
