Councilmember Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #02-08-194 RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO DON ZAPPA AND SON FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #01-35 (KOVAR ADDITION UTILITY EXTENSIONS PROJECT AKA/SW EXTENSION RAMSEY PROFESSIONAL BUILDING) WHEREAS, on November 13, 2001, the Ramsey City Council made a motion awarding Improvement Project #01-35 Kover Addition Utility Extensions Street and Utility Construction project to Don Zappa and Son, Inc. in the amount of $46,113.00, which was the lowest of six quotations received for the project. WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski inspected the completed work and recommended partial payment to Don Zappa and Son in the amount of $37,762.50. WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski inspected the completed work and recommened final payment to Don Zappa and Son in the amount of $13,215.25. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: l) That the City Council hereby authorizes final payment to Don Zappa and Son for Improvement Project #01-35, Kovar Addition Utility Extensions project in the amount of $13,215.25. 2) That the City Council authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the month of August, 2002. 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Anderson Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Hendriksen Councilmember Kurak and the following voted against the same: RESOLUTION #02-08-194 Page 1 of 2
